Carry Joy Instead of Grudges

Carry Joy Instead of Grudges

Work on your character not just on your exterior. No matter how a house is painted it cant make the inside finer. Likewise, painting your face cant improve your character. If your face is well painted and your hair is well groomed but within you are filled with resentments, 2016 is not going to be a better year for you. If you are carrying grudges in 2016, with which hand will you be able to carry joy? Is that not how you wasted previous years? Why not drop the grudge so you can carry joy this year instead?

The Man in The Mirror

The Man in The Mirror

If you searched for the one person that can change your life but didn’t find that person in 2015, in 2016 search the mirror for that person! “I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me.”-Philippians 4:13.

Real Beauty

Real Beauty

Parents, your daughters are being conditioned by the media (TV, Magazines and the Internet) to aspire to look sexy. Don’t be blind to what satan is doing. If women want to make the news today all they have to do is show some cleavage. If they show intelligence, the media is not interested. Reprogram your daughters. Teach them that if they aspire to look sexy all that men will use them for is sex. Virtue not sexiness is the price a woman must pay to get a good husband. Sexiness is actually a trap for a shallow man. Beaty fades virtue stays. Train up your daughters to value the beauty of their character over the beauty of their physique. “Your beauty should not come from outward adornment, such as elaborate hairstyles and the wearing of gold jewelry or fine clothes. Rather, it should be that of your inner self, the unfading beauty of a gentle and quiet spirit, which is of great worth in God’s sight.”-1 Peter 3:3-4.

It Will Get Worse Before it Gets Better

It Will Get Worse Before it Gets Better

I feel for the 14 people killed by gunmen in San Bernadino, CA, today. While I pray for victims when these incidence occur, there is no point in praying that things will get better in the world. The Bible has already told us that things will get worse. There will be more terrorism, there will be more wars, there will be more bloodshed. Read it in your Bible. “You will hear of wars and rumors of wars, but see to it that you are not alarmed. Such things MUST happen, but the end is still to come.”-Matthew 24:6. The solution is to pray for Jesus’ return. NOTHING else will make things better. “Then will appear the sign of the Son of Man in heaven.”-Matthew 25:30.

Who Are You?

Who Are You?

Who are you? Most people never answer that question beyond the name they were given at birth, but until you know who you are or want to be, success and happiness will continue to elude you. Jesus was born and named Yeshu’a Ben Joseph (Jesus the son of Joseph). But that was His name and not who He was. When people asked Him who He was, He did not say Yeshu’a Ben Joseph. Instead He responded by saying “I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.”-John 14:6. So now I ask you, who are you? Do not respond with your name. Your name was given to you. You must decide who you are or the world will decide it for you.

Put Your Trust in God

Put Your Trust in God

This picture shows you why you should never put your trust in man. Man is subject to change. Put your trust in God through His Son Jesus. God never changes and is faithful even when we are not. “Cursed is the one who trusts in man, who draws strength from mere flesh and whose heart turns away from the LORD.”-Jeremiah 17:5.

Saved to do Works

Saved to do Works

As a child of God, stop boasting of the good works you have done. We do works because we are saved. We are not saved because we do works. “when you give to the needy, do not let your left hand know what your right hand is doing”-Matthew 6:3.

Confronter Is Better Than a Backbiter

Confronter Is Better Than a Backbiter

Never attack a person that confronts you with an issue to your face. Embrace them as a true friend. A confronter is better than a backbiter. Unfortunately, many people prefer a backbiter who smiles to your face. Proverbs 27:6 says “Wounds from a sincere friend are better than many kisses from an enemy”. What a sincere advise from God. Let us be like Paul. He said in Galatians 2:11 that “when Peter was come to Antioch, I withstood him to the face, because he was to be blamed.” That is the hallmark of a true friend. Your best friends are those who confront your weaknesses. Your worst enemies are those who feed your weakness.

If You Can Worry You Can Meditate

If You Can Worry You Can Meditate

Constantly thinking of problems is called worry. Constantly thinking of God’s Word is called meditation. If you can worry, you can meditate. “Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God.”-Philippians 4:6.

Be Yourself No Matter What Critics Say

Be Yourself No Matter What Critics Say

Be yourself because critics will criticize you for not being like others and when you become like others they will criticize you for being fake. Since that is the case let us follow Apostle Paul’s advise “We do not dare to classify or compare ourselves with some who commend themselves. When they measure themselves by themselves and compare themselves with themselves, they are not wise”-2 Corinthians 10:12.
