The Divine Path to Promotion

The Divine Path to Promotion

Satan was one of the most intelligent angels created but because he didn’t have character, God demoted him. In making decisions to promote, God looks to a person’s character where men may look to their intelligence. Just think about it for a second-how much of your intelligence can you ascribe to yourself? Whether you have a sharp mind, are able to analyze issues or dissect then clinically, those abilities are gifts from God. But virtues like faithfulness, patience, long suffering bad tolerance are things that you have to develop with discipline. Yeshu’a was the most intelligent man who ever walked the earth, but listen to the reason God gave for promoting Him “being found in appearance as a man, he humbled himself by becoming obedient to death– even death on a cross! Therefore God exalted him to the highest place and gave him the name that is above every name”-Philippians 2:8. Yeshu’a’s promotion by God was a function of His character not His intelligence and you will be promoted to the degree of the improvement in your character.

Dare to be a Daniel

Dare to be a Daniel

Daniel was president of the Persian empire which stretched from modern day India to Ethiopia. He did not have the Internet or telephones. He was probably the busiest man in Babylon. He had high level officials under him and had to brief the King regularly. But in all this, Daniel found time to study Scripture and pray three times a day on his knees, in an upper chamber. If Daniel could do this, what excuse would you give God for being too busy for Him because of a 9-5 job that keeps you in a cubicle. NOBODY on earth today is as busy as Joseph, Daniel and Paul were. NOBODY on earth can justify why they do not find time for God. If Daniel could do it, I assure you you have no excuse. Daniel did exploits in his lifetime. When he was asked how he was able to achieve the things he did, he said “the people that do know their God shall be strong”-Daniel 11:32.

Choose Right Over Happy

pic3There’s a tendency amongst people to justify their decisions on wether it makes them happy and not whether it is right. In Psalm 100:3 we read “the LORD he is God: it is he that has made us, and not we ourselves”. God made us for His pleasure and not for our pleasure “you have created all things, and for your pleasure they are and were created”-Revelations 4:11. Jesus did not feel happy when He went to Cross. Nevertheless, He went to the Cross because it delighted God. If we please ourselves we may be happy, but when we please God, He will make sure we have the senior brother of happy which is JOY. “Delight yourself in the LORD; And He will give you the desires of your heart”-Psalm 37:4
